What is a warranty on a battery?

All of our batteries carry a standard limited one-year warranty from date of delivery against defects in workmanship and/or materials unless stated otherwise. However batteries can fail for reasons not covered by warranty. Some of these are as follows:

What is a 3 year battery warranty?

This warranty helps protect customers from unnecessary costs associated with battery or parts replacement, offering three years of peace of mind regarding the battery and its related components, while also reducing the overall cost of ownership. What is covered in the base warranty?

Does Battery Group Limited have a warranty?

All products are subject to an obligatory 6 month warranty period whereby it is the responsibility of Battery Group Limited to assess, repair and/or replace the item should there be any manufacturing defects. Some products include further extensions on this 6 month and will be outlined on each product page.

What is a base battery warranty?

As part of the base battery warranty, batteries will be replaced for any manufacturing/design defects caused faults or if battery health degrades during the warranty period. Base warranty period is defined as the coverage till 3-yrs or 50,000 kms (whichever is earlier).

Can a battery be replaced under warranty?

Check for any physical damage which may have caused an internal break. If, after checking, your battery has more than 80% of its original capacity, it will not be replaced under the warranty because it is considered perfectly functional. Your battery test must show the voltage over 12.2V and below 80% SOH to be accepted.

How long does a car warranty cover a battery?

The vehicle warranty covers the battery and vehicle components for 3 years or 40,000 kms (additional 10,000 kms for battery), whichever is earlier. Please refer to your standard warranty manual set out in the owner’s manual for more details.
