The average inlet FRs of the battery module with BFPs for the output ratios of 0, 25 %, 50 %, 75 % and 100 % are 0 mL/min, 16.5 mL/min, 33 mL/min, 49.5 mL/min and 66 mL/min, respectively.
Moreover, in open literature, the research on pulsating flow is based on the traditional synchronized pulse control method, that is, the inlet flow rate of single inlet or multiple inlets changes simultaneously according to the pulsating waveforms [30, 31].
The superiority of the battery module using BFPs for the 5-in and 5-out scheme at a 3C DR with a flow rate (FR) of 66 mL/min is clarified, as well as the advantages of pulse cooling technology under different output ratios. This provides valuable references for practical application and design of LIBTMSs.
Furthermore, under fast discharging conditions (3C), compared with other baffle structures, the battery module with BFPs for the 5-in and 5-out scheme is capable of regulating the battery pack's Tmax and ΔTmax to an optimal range while reducing external power consumption.
For the output ratios of 0, 25 %, 50 %, 75 % and 100 %, the opening times for the five inlets are 0s, 15s, 30s, 45s and 60s in each pulse cycle, respectively, and the opening interval between adjacent inlets is 12s.
